High like 3.7/5
I enjoyed the book. I felt invested in their relationship and in them getting together. Doesn’t mean there weren’t issues with the book. First, I never really felt like I understood why they couldn’t be together. Things build up to them finally making out, they obviously wanted each other, but they keep pulling back. I think at one point she even says something like “We can’t do that again.” But when I ask myself “why?” I couldn’t remember a good reason they couldn’t be together.

I get it, Quinn was worried about what other people would think because of the leaked sex tape and was afraid a bad boy was gonna hurt her, but any man can hurt you. She'd already been hurt by supposedly 'nice guys,' yet continues to think she should be with one. It just felt like a lame excuse. Especially since Ransom did nothing but give to her - his love, his support, his kindness, his time, his protection. She focused too much on the stereotype of a ‘bad boy’ rather than on Ransom himself, and how well he treated her.

Second, Quinn herself was fucking infuriating. Time and time again, whenever a hurdle came in their way, Quinn did nothing but run away and avoid Ransom. He had nothing to do with the photo posted of them, and she even knew he wouldn’t do that to her, but she still ran off, relying on that snobby cunt Josie who’s been nothing but a selfish judgmental bitch from the start. What kind of “best friend” hangs out with people that bully you and treat you like shit? I knew Josie was a terrible person from the start. And it was infuriating that Quinn would turn to this bitch, who turns out was one of the people that fucked her over, and avoided the person that only wanted to support her and protect her. At one point I was almost literally yelling at my kindle “Stop fucking running away from Ransom. Are you kidding me?!”

Spice was there, it was decent - pretty standard romance spice but nothing extraordinarily ‘hot hot hot’ or kinky.

Overall, I was entertained and felt invested, which I guess is how I really gauge my book ratings. I can see myself returning to Hollows Garage, getting to read the other character’s stories and hopefully getting background updates on Quinn and Ransom.
