Good Guys Don't Lie by Micalea Smeltzer

4.0

Another smash hit from Micalea Smeltzer!

I honestly think “The Boys” series may be one of my favorite series. Micalea has packed this series full with hot men, powerful women, and diversity galore! Good Guys Don’t Lie is the fourth book in The Boys series, and while it wasn’t my favorite out of the four, it was still an incredible read!

Cree is such a teddy bear and I’m totally in love with him. He’s so sweet, thoughtful, and caring. He’s the biggest bookworm, as is our heroine, Ophelia! Ophelia is… wow. She’s incredible. She may be my favorite girl of the entire series! Ophelia is autistic, and I always love with authors add such diversity to their books. While Ophelia has a lot of obstacles to overcome with her disability, she IS NOT her disability. She doesn’t let that define her even though it can make her life difficult sometimes. Ophelia is SO smart, but when she needs a little help in one of her classes, her professor enlists someone to help her out: enter Cree! Cree is just precious and patient with Ophelia. He treated Ophelia like she was the one who hung the stars in the sky. And in the bedroom? Let’s just say I WAS NOT expecting that. Cree is a freaky little thing, okurrrr.

All in all I really enjoyed this book and it was a great addition to The Boys series. I didn’t really enjoy the whole lost memory/Jay&Daisy thing, but it was bearable and I was able to overlook it because the love in the book was just so sweet.
