This is a book in need of an editor. So very many errors--grammatical, some spelling, odd flow of the words on some of the pages (strange margins). It's very distracting.
It's a cute story though quite implausible (I didn't read the one before it), and some parts of the story just didn't ring true. Even the ending is too pat.
That said, I love that it deals with the world of luchadores as well as school wrestling team style. I think my middle schoolers will enjoy it. I'd even like to read the 1st book in the series.
The book is illustrated, and I'm guessing it was his wife who did the illustrations (the author blurb at the ends says Mr. Morelli is married to the best artist or some such). They are cute, but not the level of what you'd see in most published books for this age.
It all just felt like a self-published book but I guess INtense is an actual, very small, publisher. They need to tighten things up--this has good bones but needed some good hard editing.
