This book is the first book to make me legitimately cry... The way the story connects each visit to one another is so beautiful. I also adored the characters featured in this book - they all brought so much to the words on the page. It felt as if the words were transformed into a scene around me, letting me view their lives from an omnipresent gaze. The world-building from the previous book also sets up such amazing imagery and helps us feel as if this is much more than a book; almost as if it was a portal to Funiculi Funicula. I definitely recommend this book.
