Funland by Richard Laymon
3.0
I don't know. In some ways this was typical Richard Layman. In other ways... Not sure.
There are trolls. In this case near an amusement park near a beach. Not under a bridge.
And by trolls, they are homeless but not harmless men and women. Turned into (or always were?) psychopaths who stalk anyone that happens to be out at night. There's a vigilante group seeking justice for the disappearances.
I couldn't stand Jeremy's character. Robin, Dave and Joan were fine.
It was a lot with the trolls, trollers AND oddities at the end.
Typical Laymon (who I usually love) to have a woman with short blonde hair somewhere in the mix.
Also typical Laymon to not skimp on the blood and gore.
The ending was good.
3.5 stars.
