And Every Morning the Way Home Gets Longer and Longer by Fredrik Backman

5.0

Oh gosh- 20 stars, 20,000 stars…. I am wrecked but my heart is filled up. I must’ve reached for a tissue every few pages. The author of A Man Called Ove wrote this novella about goodbyes,memory/dementia and love and it’s the most beautiful powerful thing I’ve ever read, packed into a tiny little volume I just read on my lunch hour. I bought it online before I was halfway through. To anyone who has walked this path with a loved one, watched their world shrink and jumble…Words fail me what a poignant gift this little story is, the writing beautiful yet spare, with so much love in it
