I get why there is such a "Love it or hate it" vibe about this book. People who read it seem to think it is either the most intense, messed up thing they've ever read or boring drivel and a poor attempt at a shock factor. Personally I do not think either of these lines of thought fit this book. It's a quick paced read and its by no means revolutionary writing but it is fun. Not quite as intense as I'd been led to believe, but still a good quick horror. The relationship itself and the escalation was fascinating and horrible to watch. The writing style is simple but it serves the format well. This book definitely isn't good enough to cause the stir it has. But I enjoyed it nonetheless.
