The Kindest Red by S.K. Ali, Ibtihaj Muhammad

4.0

I prefer "The Proudest Blue," but I also enjoyed this one. I loved how kids explored what they viewed as the perfect/ideal world, and the central character chose a kind world. The book then explored how people can be kind in small ways. I loved the diversity presented her and the capturing and normalizing of Hijab wearers. A great addition to The Proudest Blue. Simple theme, but loved the message.
