Funny, fast, tense book that does not pass the bechdel test (lol). I’m pretty sure not a single chapter goes by without mentioning or involving a male romantic interest.
Uses the words “fuck” or “fucking” probably well over 200 times, which is humorous but gets kind of tiresome.
Lot of sexual content (2 lengthy scenes and a lot of character fantasies) which is not really my thing.
The main character is so sassy and fiery that it can be down right unbelievable at times given how weak she is “supposed” to be. The book contains a lot of paradoxes like that. Warning: plotholes ahead. Best enjoyed if you don’t take it seriously and read it with a more light-hearted tone.
I would not necessarily recommend this book to others by any means, but I’m curious where the series goes so I will probably read the sequel.
