What a fun adventure!! This had so many great connections to major events in history. The characters were funny and snarky, but they learned to get along with one another instead of arguing. (A lesson we need in all forms this year!). My only regret is that we read this too soon for the potential sequel to be published. I can't wait for more!

This is my second time using this book as a read aloud, and I must admit there are some VERY wordy parts at the start of this chapter. I find myself sometimes skipping entire paragraphs of rambling as I'm reading and it doesn't change the story meaning at all. I can definitely see this slowness at the beginning stopping readers from powering through and getting to the action.
