I did not know much about Amy Schneider outside of her impressive stint on Jeapordy, and I am happy to have read this book. I do not identify as a trans woman, at the same time, there was much i could relate to from her experiences, and to read such relatable content is a huge win, in my eyes.
She does start the book by saying that it is not fit for young readers, agreed. This goes into some serious topics around drug use, alcoholism, sex, religious/faith deconstruction, sexuality/gender identity and more. They have a humorous and very real storytelling, just as a heads up.
