After the backlash The Legend of Korra recieved for just being a female Avatar, I am both excited and upset that Kyoshi's story is told in book form, more so in this book than any other.

I don't know if it's the author's style, but this book, like the previous one, was very slow to start. And it shouldn't be like that as most readers of this series, mostly likely has watched the show, ergo already having the background knowledge needed to enjoy this world.

What saves this book for me, is the ending. Any book that has me in tears, is a good book. Hands down.
