Give me a few years to stop feeling disgusted at the content before I know how I actually feel about this book as a story. Right now it's hard to seperate.
They drew me in with that sensation of feeling like an alien in society, and then creeped me out with incest, and then went full trigger with multiple scenes describingrape and underage sex . Really wish they hadn't been so graphic there. It was unnecessary and grotesque. I should have stopped there but I was hoping the mc would find another alien to live with instead of surviving. She did not. It got worse. Reading this felt like repeatedly getting hit over the head, and I pray this won't scar. This was not the interesting kind of poisoned art I've enjoyed in the past. It was just poison.
