Moonlight Becomes You by Mary Higgins Clark
3.5
I noted this book when I read Mend the Living by Maylis de Kerangal in 2022 - I guess it was mentioned in the acknowledgments. I think I'd enjoyed a short story by Higgins Clark so thought I'd add this title to my to-read list.
I've been trying to find out why, specifically, the author chooses song titles or phrases for songs for so many (perhaps all?) of her book titles, but have only been able to find a Q&A where she says Yes, she does - not why. It's curious - I didn't notice any reference to music or old songs in this book. Actually, neither did I figure out how the title relates to the book at all. Perhaps if I read it again I'd see something, but I guess I'm not that bothered. Anyway, if I read this review again, this is a link to Johnny Mathis singing the title song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xZSU6hzgWwE&t=61s
