Little Fires Everywhere by Celeste Ng

Maybe I should stop having high expectations for popular books, since I felt that this read was a total letdown. Even though I found the topic at hand to be thought-provoking. the execution was mediocre at best. I had no attachment to any of the characters that, to my defense, had little to no substance and were depicted in a very shallow way.
I, for sure, can sympathise with the aspects of motherhood that were touched upon in this book, however, the more I read on, the more I had a certain distain for the characters and their decisions (despite understanding that there is no right or wrong decision).
