Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six by Lisa Unger
3/5⭐️

Three couples rent a cabin in the woods with gorgeous views, a hot tub, and a personal chef. A weekend getaway in a lavish cabin is just what this group of friends needs. Hannah, the new mom, is both excited and anxious to get away. Her brother Mako paid for everything but he seems to have an ulterior motive.

When they arrive at the cabin, the couples gawk at its massive size and beautiful architecture. A dangerous storm is looming and the guests feel like someone is watching them. Even the cabin’s host has an unsettling presence about him.

As the three couples settle in and the weather challenges them, one of the wives goes missing. Hannah’s dream weekend is turning into a nightmare. Under these terrifying circumstances, truths and secrets are revealed. Do these friends really know each other? Could one of their own be sabotaging their weekend?

Secluded Cabin Sleeps Six is a classic locked-door mystery. I have stated before that these are my least favorite types of thrillers. I had high hopes for this one in the beginning, but then the plot turned cold for me. There are many POVs and two storylines, which was a little confusing. Overall, it held my attention and was fast-paced but some of the lavish explanations were too much in my opinion. Unger’s complex writing style still makes her one of my favorite thriller authors.
