Dig Two Graves by Gretchen McNeil

I didn’t hate this, but it really wasn’t great. The first half took way too long and the whole first half was almost just a typical YA summer camp/friend drama backstory. I needed it to be shorter so that I could get into the unhinged Strangers on a Train plot faster because if I hadn’t known that was coming from the plot summary I would’ve tapped out. Also, how many times was that movie going to be referenced??? Like, we get it! And teens aren’t watching Hitchcock so the more they referenced it the more I was taken out because you’d have to have seen it to know who they were talking about. There were definitely some unanswered questions and plot points that just got thrown out after everything was said and done. I think overall there is enough going on that this would be an okay sell for teens that love murder mysteries, but I was expecting this to be at least a little more fun and twisty.
