Mouse Guard: Fall 1152 by David Petersen

5.0

I reread all of the Mouse Guard books this year.

Jan Philipzig's review sums up nicely pretty much what I thought about these. I want there to be more depth than there is. I was hoping it would emerge over time as the series continued, but it never has. These are gorgeous to look at and a great concept but the world feels a bit flat.

I wish David Petersen had just done comic adaptations of the Redwall series instead.

I have the RPG box set however; there's world enough built and imagery enough to start your OWN stories, which is pretty much what I plan to do someday.
