I would have given this book beyond 5 stars if I could. I am so glad Jennette was able to leave acting and pursue her writing career, and share her story which I hope played a huge part into her recovery from such extreme trauma. I also am so grateful to her for this because of how many people may have been aided in their own recovery by relating to different aspects of Jennette’s story at any level- it definitely has impacted me in ways I never would have expected. There are just so many things that typically go unspoken out of shame or taboo, brushed off, not recognized as abuse, etc. but Jennette does not hold back. I have no doubt this book has saved lives.
