Hometown Cowboy by Sara Richardson

3.0

**You can see this full review and more at Book Briefs: https://bookbriefs.net**Hometown Cowboy is the first book in the adult contemporary romance Rocky Mountain Riders series by Sara Richardson. This is the first book I have read by Sara, but it won't be my last because I really enjoyed this cute read. It was a quick and satisfying, (mostly) fluffy read. Fans of small town romances will enjoy Hometown Cowboy, and the cast of characters will leave you excited to journey back to this town for future couple's stories.

Hometown Cowboy is Jessa and Lance's tale. Lance starts out as a cocky son of a gun, and Jessa is sweet as pie. I was a little worried that he was going to be too much of a jerk for sweet little Jessa Mae, but surprisingly he won me over. They worked well together. The book follows a bit of a predictable plotline, but it turned out just the way I wanted it to. My favorite part of all was the chemistry between Jessa and Lance. They have chemistry and URST in spades.

The cast of secondary characters was great as well. They will lend themselves nicely to future books and pairs. I can't wait to come back to the Rocky Mountain Riders series to see what happens with the rest of the crew. The only thing that was lacking for me, was a bit of the romance towards the end. Before I knew it, I was at the epilogue, and while I loved it, I wanted to see more of how they got there. I wanted to see a little bit more of the journey for Jessa and Lance. But overall, this was a good read. I will be continuing on in this series for sure.
