I'm the opposite of most of the other reviews in that I really disliked the first part. I almost DNF'd after the fourth chapter. However, I really sunk into the book and began to love it. I feel like the blurb about what the book is about is a bit misleading... But maybe I just interpreted the story differently? Some absolutely beautiful passages. Most things brought up a strong feeling, whether positive or negative, so I'd recommend it to people even if it's one of those that you hate but sticks with you.
