Climate Change Is Racist: Race, Privilege and the Struggle for Climate Justice by Jeremy Williams
3.0
3.5 stars. The premise and central argument is sound and vitally important, but I think it needed more time to flesh out some key points. The book skims over some really fundamental principles of white privilege and anti-racism that the rest of the argument is built on. If you’re just starting out on your anti-racist journey, I’d recommend reading some more foundational texts (e.g. Why I’m No Longer Talking to White People About Race) before starting this. The data is unequivocally compelling and I learned a lot, but I was left wanting to read much more about some topics that were brushed over within a few paragraphs.
