If you’re looking for a funny and sweet romance book, this is it!

I love a classic fairytale reimagined and ‘By The Book’ is a classic love story! It’s one of those retelling where you can read it and not really notice that it’s a Beauty and the Beast story (until it’s pointed out to you and then you’ll be like ‘ohhhh that makes sense’). 

I think Izzy and Beau are both really well-rounded characters and I loved their story arcs, both as a couple and as individuals. The whole time I was reading this book, I was having a good time. It’s a feel good, true rom-com book. Even throughout the third act, I enjoyed myself. I thought the actions and events that happened all made sense and felt realistic. 

This was the first Jasmine Guillory book I read and I really like her writing style and story telling. I can’t wait to read more of her books!
