This book was amazing. It took a few chapters for me to get fully into it, but it was worth it. Delia Owens is descriptive and has a beautiful way of telling her stories and handing you the setting. She places the words so gently in the palms of your hands, and makes you somehow love each other and every one character, one way or the other, at one point or another.

Kya Clark was a beautifully written character. I loved going through life with her, discovering things with her, finding love with her. The way things connect together, the way the marsh and the swamp and the townspeople all weave together to make this story was captivating, and I loved it.
