That’s A Wrap
Let me start off by saying I really enjoyed the first two books. But I do believe people will have mixed feelings about this book.
I had a couple of big issues. Listen, I enjoy some smut in my books- especially when it propels the plot forward. Typically, I read thick books that are 500+ pages and they will have 2-3 sex scenes max. This book was ~290 pages and had 6 or 7 somewhat lengthy (for the book) sex scenes. That’s just entirely too much IMO. ESPECIALLY since not much actually happened with the plot. Like what plot?
There was one revelation in the book (I won’t spoil it) that was set up as if to be extremely important. In the end, it didn’t even matter.
We had deaths that evoked no emotion from me whatsoever due to how they were written. Some should’ve had me feeling sad. Some should have had me cheering. But they were far too rushed, and one was even completely off page.
I don’t know. The smut could’ve been taken out and this book could’ve been written in 10 chapters and added to the end of book 2 to make a good duology.
You will like this book if:
•You like more action between the sheets than on the literal or figurative battlefields.
•You enjoy books that include friendship
•You like stories of that kind of all-consuming lustful love
•You like characters to have a vibe of youthfulness about them.
