Given that the last three books I've read have made me cry, this was a nice palate cleanser and a quick read. The story was enjoyable enough, if a little predictable. With multi POV narratives you can end up with a preference for one over the other, but I found that I liked both.
The modern day main character was quite passive which made for a frustrating read at times, especially when it came to the romance sub plot. I found Edwin to be very hollow and saccharine.
Not one of my favourites, and not one that will stick with me, but would be a good holiday read. Definitely made me want to go back to Cornwall!
