I'll Give You the Sun, by Jandy Nelson

5.0

I don't review books. I don't. I hold back every aching thought I have about them, and I try my hardest to act as if a book like this hasn't affected me so deeply, personally, and beautifully.
It has. Over and over again, and it's especially true with this novel.
A lot of reviewers use words like "poignant" and "expertly-crafted," but this book is more than that. It's absolutely, positively, unquestionably perfect. It destroyed me and pieced me back together in less than 400 pages, and I still haven't decided whether to laugh or cry yet.
Read this book, even if you don't want to, or even if you feel like you can't get past the first ten pages. You'll fall in love before you know it.
