What I Talk About When I Talk About Running by Haruki Murakami

5.0

A sweet, beautiful little book. Murakami comes across as humble, self deprecating, and thoughtful. The writing seems almost childishly straightforward and simple at times, but then, seemingly out of nowhere, it will be poignant, elegant, and wise.

In some ways, this book desperately makes me want to spend an evening with Murakami over drinks. In other ways, it makes me feel like I already have.

I kind of hate running, but it didn't matter. I loved this book.
