This book was a little difficult for me to get through, but not in a bad way. When reading this, I was going through a difficult time in my life with my significant other--working through things and contemplating a big decision in my life. This book really made me look inside myself and examine my feelings. It made me really reach deep down inside and forced me to see what I needed to do, and what I wanted to do. Because of that, I really felt connected to the story, and the characters.

I didn't think I would like Lori as much as I did. She was such an amazing character, from her very outgoing personality to her determination to not only do whatever she was doing to the absolute best of her ability, but to never give up when things got hard. She's the kind of person that would be very easy to open up to, and you know you can trust. And really, she never truly complained about anything she was told to do. Her outlook on life was one that I truly envy, being able to have the confidence and mindset she has really grabbed me. She was fun, full of life, and a true person, in every sense of the word.

Grayson. Oh dearie me, Grayson. Even though he started off rather surprisingly rude, it somehow really fit him and his past. Think about it, most people in the world nowadays are either always angry, or so miserable the need to make others feel the same. So it really didn't bother me much the way Grayson behaved towards Lori. He was deeply scarred, and emotionally traumatized, so his defenses were so wired it was only natural for him to act as he did. But once Lori busted through them, we really saw him for who he was inside. He was incredibly passionate and loving, capable of doing great things for those he cared about. He was dedicated and intelligent, and one hell of a lover. *G*

everything that happened in this book was well thought out. The characters honestly could not have helped each other and fallen in love any other way. Like I've always believed, everything happens for a reason. Books really are no different. If it weren't for the bad things, the hard things, we would never love as deeply as we do.

This is a very good ending to the San Francisco Sullivans. I very much look forward to the Seattle Sullivans next.
