There's Always Someday by Harloe Rae

5.0

What an amazingly sweet, swoony, and deliciously sexy story- full of unrequited love charms, neighborly attraction, and the right dash of healing and angst. A new favorite from Harloe Rae!

One thing I always love about Harloe’s writing is how she takes a trope and makes it something more- infuses it with an emotional gravitas and sincerity of heart that makes each of her stories feel unique and special. Clea and Nolan’s story begins with the friends to lovers/unrequited love and single parent tint, but this story quickly becomes nothing other than Clea and Nolan’s- a story steeped so deeply in the beating of their hearts that you can’t help but fall along with them.

Nolan is a really compelling hero- a man mired in the complexities of his guilt and grief while trying to find hope in the now, if not for himself than for his daughter Tally. His journey is about balancing his heart and hurt- finding the courage to reach for love, not just for Tally but for himself. And Clea is a delightful heroine- sweet, loving, optimistic, the light to reinvigorate a once broken man. You root for her and her bleeding heart.

I just adore Harloe's writing style- with a lyrical tint, she delivers so much emotional intensity wrapped in beautifully articulated, emotively consuming prose. Her swoony stories are by far my favorites- and this one brings all the sweet sincerity and authentic charm. With likable characters with complex histories and a formidable chemistry between them, we have a story of two people figuring out how to perfectly fall together, to be exactly what the other needs. To fight for the love they can have now. A different journey for each, but one so perfect for them together. It's adorable, it's sexy, and gives me all the happy butterfly feels. There’s Always Someday is a feel good romance that reminds us just how hard, and how easy, healing and falling in love can be- and just how beautiful it is when you find that someday.
