Katherine Center has done it again!

This book was joyful, fun, funny, and sweet. I laughed even more than usual (no spoilers but one scene late in the book had me rolling). Then something extra remarkable happened. When the book ended, I admit I had the thought, "Well that was optimistic. But life isn't like that..." (I was having a bad day). Then, as if reading my mind, Katherine Center included an author's note about the value of the romance genre. She says the reason we not only love it but NEED it is that it trades in hope. It's all about anticipating something GOOD happening. It's about things getting better instead of worse. And that's a balm the human spirit needs.

I completely agree, and that's why I love Center's books. The romances are great, sure--but there's also the main character learning, and healing, and experiencing hope, and joy, and fun. Her books are always about things changing for the better. And that's something I need in my life.
