A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens

So ubiquitous is this that it's almost beyond rating. Indeed I suspect my being so familiar with the story, despite never having read it before, may have been a slight detraction.

But that being said, curling up on Christmas Eve and being swept away by Dickens's masterfully atmospheric storytelling was a warming experience, and one that I might just make a tradition.
