the first half of this book was a bit slow for me, but it really began to pick up and had me invested towards the end. some thoughts or character decisions were a bit repetitive (April's relationship issues and love of attention were stated a lot and i wish they were more just shown).

the characters didn't feel full to me, but as the story went on I found that I began to enjoy them. though April drove me insane, which was also part of the point.

((I'm also not super into robots, space or science so this book would probably be even more appreciated by those readers!))
