This was a quick and fun read - as fun as a book can be with serial killers and mutilations. I don’t read many thrillers but this was engaging and I did not predict the ending, which I think is what you’re going for with a thriller. The main character did feel a little flat, but I get that was part of her character. The writing was competent and allowed me to get pulled into the story. It wasn’t particular complicated or nuanced but it was well-structured and every element built the mystery. And for anyone worried, the cat is fine!
