Wow! My lovely wife was a dark and twisted wild ride. I enjoyed this debut novel so much, I really feel like Samantha Downing put a new twist on your typical domestic thriller. The story is told from the husband's perspective and we have some chapters taking place in the past. There are so many amazing twists in this book, you definitely won't be bored. I had an unease about the husband from the very first chapters, I found myself not wanting to put this book down because I was so invested in finding out what was coming next! I felt like the plot was original and I kept wondering how everything would come together, the author really exceeded my expectations.

I really don't want to tell you more about the plot. I knew a little hint of the husband and wife's dynamic before reading, it in no way spoiled the story. But, if I hadn't known even that little hint, this book would have blown my mind even more and I don't think any of you would suspect what's to come. Even if you are not a fan of the domestic thriller or you feel that's it's all been done, give this a try! I really can't recommend this book enough and if at all possible, go in as blind as you can!
