Stained by Starlight by Sara Ivy Hill

5.0

Stars: 5
FMC: Bree
MMC(s): Thren
Tropes: Alien planet, abduction/kidnapping, fated mates, family dynamics, mood changing skin, biting/marking. My add: sex worker FMC, OTT P MMC, gambling.
Perspective: Dual
Plot or character driven: Both
Spice level: 4
Burn speed: Fast
Can this be read as a stand-alone: Yes, but it's going to make a lot more sense if you've read the whole series.
Re-Readability: Yes.
Content/Trigger Warnings/Enticements: Abandonment and family issues. Minor character pregnancy mentioned in last chapter, discussion about pregnancy in epilogue.

Where Scorched by Starlight was a bit tamer when it came to the spice, Bree and Thren came in with a vengeance and a delight.

At points during this I was yelling at Thren, (he can be a numbskull but he's not cruel) and I was feeling for Bree and her past. Everything to do with her dad breaks my heart, and Thren has to work to prove that he's not going to abandon her like her dad did.

It's sweet, and hot, I devoured this like a seven course meal, slowly and relishing every bit of it.

Also, can we talk about the Ghudi? I loved everything about them, and though I don't think we will since we're going to be spending more time with the other brothers, I do hope we see them again. And I do love how we see Bree with them initially, and at the end, we see how much she's changed by how she interacts with them.
