A great ending to the series.
The characters are as always the strong point of Paolini's writing, complex and interesting.
I loved how after
the victory of the Varden
, there was some more explanation of what happened afterwards and some open questions and plots were brought to conclusion (though it felt somewhat forced in some cases,
for example with Roran and Birgit
).
I also really liked that Eragon actually made an effort to change things for the better and did not just try to rebuild the old riders.

All in all, a enjoyable read, even if a bit long winded at times.
