The world-building and relationships in Crescent City are some of the most complex and immersive I’ve read recently. Everything feels truly three-dimensional, from the politics to the character development to the magic. This book is LONG and pretty dense (particularly in the first ~150 pages) but the amount of detail is what gives you such a beautifully crafted world.
Moderate: Slavery, Blood, Murder, and Injury/Injury detail
Minor: Suicidal thoughts and Classism
