This was an engaging read. The story revolves around 4 kids: Judd, Vicki, Lionel, and Ryan. They were left behind during the rapture. In this installment, I thought the story was great. It continues with the 4 kids at Judd's house as their current residence. This story was more about Ryan and Lionel than Judd and Vicki. We see Ryan and his acceptance of the Lord. Also, Lionel trying to save his uncle, André.

I thought the characters were great. Judd is the oldest and I felt as the oldest of the group, he wants everyone to be alright. He is the leader of the group in a way because he has the ability to make the others listen to him. Vicki is the only girl, but I thought her character showed more maturity as she grew into her faith. Lionel was really brace in this book because he went into his house to save his uncle without a moment's hesitation. Ryan is still processing everything. He feels happier now because he allowed the Lord somehow in his heart. However, I think he could grow even further in his faith of God.

The ending was a bit of a let down for me. As a Christian, I thought the writing was powerful. The story was great, and engaged. I can't wait to see the journey that these kids have to go through. I am excited to see what is in stored. I feel like the stories will be more exciting. I can't wait to read Book 4 and the rest of the series. I can't believe I got 37 more books to read in this series. Overall, a great read.
