Twisted Lies by Ana Huang

slow-paced

4.25

I don’t know if it was because of my weird reading page or because of the slow burn in the beginning but I read the first 50% at a snail’s pace and then the other half in less than two days bahaha! That may have taken away from my experience and felt like the pacing of their relationship sat in the slow burn for too long and then jumped right into being together?! Idk HOWEVER I was really hooked towards the end and really loved how everything played out. Since it was the last of the series, everything felt full circle:
Alex and Ava’s wedding, Alex/Ava and Rhys/Bridget have children, Jules and Josh finally got engaged, and Stella and Christian got engaged, married and announced a pregnancy all in the last chapters of the book and the epilogue (granted it spanned about 5-6 years but still!
They’ve all come a long way and faced a lot of challenges and heartbreak but yet they are still friends and introduced their partners into this happily lil found family 🥰🥰 Before reading this last book, we got very little insight into Stella’s character and IM SO HAPPY she got a great introduction and story! I loved every one of the main girls and related to them for different reasons (Ava being artistic, Bridget for her passion and learning to be more bold, and Jules being feisty but also a bookworm🥰) but I have to say I related the most to Stella. She had a massive character arc and I’ve had similar experiences. Not being into dating and focused on work really resonated with me! Plus unfortunately I’ve also had a stalker like her too……I would compare this book with twisted love mainly because of both the MFC being artsy and creative, diverse, and also because the MMC are literally mafia-like CEO billionaires hahah
