Shan and Joey’s father was a piece of shit who should be put in jail for what he had been doing to his wife and children. What kind of bastard would lay their hands on their children. Sick fuck kind! I have a feeling that Johnny’s lawyer father would get the Lynch siblings out of their freaking miserable and unfortunate situation. Well done talking about the horrible Lynch father let’s go back to people at Tommen. Gibsie aka King Clint was one of the most hilarious characters I’ve read. I cackled every time words came out of his mouth and I admired him creativity on the nicknames he gave to people on Johnny’s contact. Gibsie and Claire clearly love each other and they acted like an old married couple throughout the whole book which was so funny to see them together. And oh my Johnny was so mature for his age, reminding me Garrett from the Deal. He offered Shan protection which turned out to be the thing she needed the most with her past bullying from her old school and ongoing domestic violence. I believe he should learn about the incident in the last chapter in this book soon and helped Shan to learn to protect herself and stand up for herself.
This was a slow burn YA romance. While dick and balls were mentioned countless time there was no sex in this book and we only got 3 kisses all towards the end of this book.
