Ruthless Vows cannot come soon enough.

I absolutely DEVOURED this book. This world sucked me in immediately and I was fascinated by the warring gods as well as Iris and Roman's relationship. There was just something about the idea of magical letters being written between two people that made my heart soar. I wasn't sure if I would like Roman at all, given he writes to Iris (his academic rival), fully knowing it's her while she has no idea. But it surprised me how heartwarming it was, to see them open up to each other in ways they might not have otherwise, given the war. And I do love me aa good enemies-to-rivals.

I laughed, I cried, I punched the air in excitement, I clutched my chest in adoration, I stood up and paced the room at the ending. HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT YEAAAAAAAAR?!

Also, I have listed the Content Warnings below, but I want to truly emphasize "War" and "Panic attacks/ disorders." I will put them in spoilers, so please read at your discretion.

This book heavily depicts war and death around It. There are scenes that include:
Spoilerwar trenches, bombs, guns, dying soldiers, casualties, stepping over dead bodies, being unable to help soldiers who are too injured to be saved, medical content, and more. It is very reminiscent of WWI and WWII.

A character has PTSD
Spoilerafter almost dying in the war and its depictions are very graphic. They experience panic after hearing loud noises, being afraid of losing loved ones, and more.
