After reading a couple of Marvel's interminable crossovers lately, this was refreshingly to the point. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Do the last pages foreshadow Convergence? That would make The New 52 a long con, although I'm not sure if that excuses the hot mess or makes it even worse.
Still, taken on its own, I think Flashpoint is a solid story in itself, which is rare enough in the epic crossover business.
