I'm not a big YA (or younger) reader, but this was a perfectly enchanting book, heartbreaking and hopeful, addressing a hard and serious topic in a clear and honest manner appropriate for a wide variety of readers. A fine introduction to the subject matter for younger readers who know very little. The illustrations were lovely, the story was a page-turner, and you don't need to be familiar with other Wonder books to enjoy this.
