Flawed Heart by Ashton Brooks

5.0

I am *obsessed* with this couple. I completely and utterly devoured this book, I couldn't and didn't want to put it down.

I love the way it starts from Amelia being so very young and the first blooms of her crush on Zander and as she ages up throughout the first chapters, so does the writing style. As the reader, you feel her age and it's clever writing from the author. We see how her crush develops as the years go on and when it comes crashing down, my heart broke for her and continued to break for her. But her strength and her resilience throughout everything she dealt with was admirable. We love a strong FMC and Amelia didn't disappoint me. There were moments that I wanted to hug her so tight and others when I wanted to applaud her. I loved her so so much.

I really like Zander as our MMC, he knows what he wants and he doesn't stop 'til he gets it. He fucks up (a lot) and doesn't always make the best choices but deep down you know he loves and needs her with his whole soul. I especially love that he's the only one that uses her full name, why is that so hot??

The idea of the marriage contract trope along with the brothers best friend had me hooked from the word go but within this story we also get second chance romance and found family as well as a strong boss babe in the FMC and incredible background characters. The way I was invested in all of their lives is a testement to Ashton's writing. Immediately I need *everyone's* story. Each character served a purpose, contributed to the overall story and each one was well written and interesting in their own right.

This love story had me on the edge multiple times and I am so in love with the pair of them. I cannot wait to read more of Ashton's work and am so so grateful to have been sent an ARC of Flawed Heart.
