This was an excellent paranormal romance, which was both a vampire and a mafia one. Two types of romance books that I love.

Even though it had a lot cliche tropes that are typical for the genre, this novel gave me exactly what I wanted from it. It was very fun and easy to read. I was eager to pick it up each time.

The story takes place in some sort of underground and edgy part of a big city, which is one of my favorite types of settings. The location was definitely one of my favorite aspects of the story.
I also loved the spice, of course 🌶

I loved the FMC, who is plus size and curvy, and she always stands her ground. Her friendship with Deidre was so wholesome. I always love a strong friendship in a book 🥰

The MMC is your typical cold hearted, broody mafia man. Always love that for me. He did make me cringe quite a lot, though 😬 Personally I found the other male characters a lot more interesting. My personal favorite is actually Kasar, so I can't wait to pick up the sequel which follows his story.

Another character I loved was Eris, so I hope she appears in the other books as well. I always love a badass female character.

This was a really fun read perfect for spooky season 👻
