Gender Queer: A Memoir by Maia Kobabe

emotional informative fast-paced

5.0

The author does an outstanding job in this deeply personal memoir exploring gender identity,  gender presentation,  and sexuality. As a cisgender woman,  I have never had to deal with the struggles to put my personal feelings about gender into the rigid categories the way Kobabe has, but the emotions expressed in word and art strike deeply at the hurtful assumptions many of us make every day.
