The Last She by H.J. Nelson

4.0

What I liked best about this post-pandemic dystopian story is that it was mostly non-paranormal (i.e. no Walking Dead-esk zombies, no Stephen King-esk “devil comes to earth”, and no alien invasion. It tracks closer to a Hunger Games tone. The heroine is stubborn and cunning and doing her best to survive. It’s got a little taste of everything- a quest, a romance, creepy antagonists, battles, and brawls. It was a nice lightweight weekend read.
