Every Soul by LK Collins

4.0

This book was a really pleasant surprise. I was looking for a quick read to tide me over until the release of a book I was desperate to read and this had been sat on my kindle for a while so I dived in.

I can't remember what prompted me to buy it and I had no expectations, knew nothing of the plot and had not read anything else by the author.

Bain - sexy basketball player, 10 inches and he knows how to use it. He's a poor wounded little soldier though, his heart is broken because of the death of his twin sister Kinsey. Woven into the alternating POV chapters are snippets of what happened to Kinsey giving added depth to the story.

Arion is also wounded from the death of her fiancé. She will never love again but needs the escape of sex to forget her scars. And oh my, she is a sexy madam.

The sex scenes are off the charts hot. Two wounded souls - you know what you want to happen!

It was a really enjoyable read. I did think there was a couple of pieces in the book that could have been explored more - but that was until I got to the last page and I got a sucker punch. I'm guessing the bits and pieces I thought had been left hanging will be picked up in the sequel.

I know Nick Bateman is Miles Archer and Andrew England is the cover model for Every Soul but in my head I'm having Nick as my Bain. I bet Nick throws a mean ball!
