The book reads at times more like a memior then essays but they blend into each other in ways many other author around her (twenties to thirties) fail to write compelling memoirs/collections. I think some reviewers are expecting finality to the essays that does not exist in real life truly. Her humor I loved but I could see how you either do or don’t but I think she has a very valid and important as a young woman reading this from a different country and background.
